Stay the Night
It had been a while since I shared my bed with someone. Even my Ex-what-ever-he-was never stayed the night with me. I always went to him. Although I had set my house up to his liking just in case, it ever happened. So when my current relationship said he could stay over, I was not only surprised and a little excited, I was also nervous. I haven’t talked much about him because I wasn’t sure where it was going. He is a good guy. Most of them are, but most of them also have issues, baggage, or in my case and history, someone else in their lives. Ugh! It is…

Relax
Just relax. Calm down, and everything will work out just fine. Breathe. I’m sure we have all heard these phrases of condolences and trying to inspire hope. I get it. What else can you say? Everyone is feeling the pressure from our current state in the world. Bottom line? There are no words that induce relaxation. In November of 2019, I adopted a puppy. He is a German Shepherd puppy. Love is Saying the Hard Things
Love is saying the hard things. Sometimes the hardest things to say are the things that need to be said. Recently while sharing some whiskey with a friend, he made a comment so significant that it stopped me dead in my tracks. “The problem is T, love is saying the hard things, and you aren’t good at saying the hard things.” Well, fuck me! The main problem with this was I instantly knew he was right, and that stung a little bit. In my defense, I don’t like hurting people’s feelings. I also do not like confrontation. Put those two together and its a losing combination. Who looses? Everyone! I…

Benefits to Working at Home
I am trying to find the benefits of working from home and take advantage of the time given to me. My work is an “on-call” basis so I am only needed if the client has a meeting. While I was in the office, I used my downtime to write or read or shop. In an effort to decrease my anxiety with all of these new routines in place at the moment. I am determined to make better use of my time. The benefits of being able to stay at home are good. Even with some of the inconveniences. I don’t have an office in my home. I worked briefly in…

Day 9 – New Look
A new look is always fun and exciting. It could be a new dress, some fancy shoes, or just a new great pair of earrings. My new look is more permanent than that. I recently had a surgical procedure that changed how I look from the front. I am learning to embrace it but it takes time. I know what some of you are thinking. It was an improvement, get over it! Right? I hear you and I get it. I do think the look is better and my clothes fit better and my front looks better. The important thing is the medical condition that prompted the new look is…
